Here’s the UOA of HPL CK4 HDEO 5w30 that was in use for 3,000 miles

Oil is still in service also; I’m happy with this report as welll.

Lot's of Moly! Maybe I'm not understanding, but isn't that really high for Calcium and Zinc? I know this engine is not GDI, but my engines are.

Oil Type:

Looks good & It seems Si might be higher in this oil new as I saw another one with 20 PPM too. Sodium is noticeable as well. It seems Na was elevated in another sample posted here. Overall, you should be able to run it longer like you want to. Do you know when you'll resample? Did you add any oil during this 3k?

Not for CK-4 oil. Probably wouldn't want to use this in your engines.

Where do you get 10ppm? Besides, older V8s, especially Gen I SBCs, typically generate at least 5-7ppm Fe/1k mi in perfectly healthy engines.

To clarify; this is first run of HPL CK4 HDEO 5w30. Oil still in service.

Oils used before were unknown, FRAM 15w40 conventional and my first oil after acquiring truck was Rotella T5 10w30

Justin: it’s not bad ass HPL oil. Folks at lab must not have read my slip that comes with sample kit. I wrote HPL CK4 5w30 HDEO

Thinking of going to 10k on this oil and resembling too. May run the Toyota filter on for 3k then toss on a NAPA Platinum 41348 for last 4k

Have to admit I’m pretty impressed that after 3,000 miles the base # is still over 9

I should do one of these on my 00 3.9L.. If I remember I will next time. Don't know how to interpret UOA's but I bet it's numbers would be sky high compared to these. It has a knock that can't figure out but excellent oil pressure.

Mine has great oil psi just no knock
