This truck has pretty much never seen the inside of a garage. I've polished the headlamps a bazillion times. New was $80 shipped from RA. The side marker blinker lamps pop out. I guess the age and CA sunshine overcame the glue whatever seal... Both sides popped out under light prying on the marker assembly. Oops. Back to RA I guess... All good.

Jeff, I hope you have good luck with them.

I installed some TYC on a friend’s 1st gen Tundra several years ago, and we could not never get them aimed right for good night driving. The patterns were not great, although the new lenses certainly looked nice.

In contrast, I installed OE Toyota headlamp lenses on my 1st gen, and they aimed nicely.

Hopefully the aftermarket companies have improved the patterns.

Gen1 tundra was excellent to work on. My headlamps lost reflectivity over the bulbs from heat. Even if I got the lenses clear, they didn’t do great on the ground. I’m sure it was time. Probably the sturdiest, most reliable vehicle I’ve owned.

I tell people they can have any of my cars, but keep your hands off my beloved Tundra. 220K and is perfect. Of course my neighbors love it too, because I have the only PU on the block. Next door Don and Susie call it, "Susie's truck". Usually come back with a full tank!

2007, owned since 2010, when we bought it with 25k miles. Has 413,000 miles now. Been simply awesome. I'm going out to wash it now...

I do have to polish the headlights every 5 to 6 months though to keep them clear. I have debated buying a new pair...about $650 or so, if you wait for a Toyota 20% off deal. But for a standard halogen bulb, they have excellent pattern and throw.
