Hello everyone,
I just bought my brothers camaro with 83,000 miles on it. He always had his oil changed at a 10 minute quick lube.
I have used valvoline max life motor oil but I heard it shinks seals. A friend of mine switched to max life and gain 30 miles a tank.
I don't want switch to synthetic (heard of people who have found leaks).
I drive mostly highways miles and usually change my oil at around 6,000 miles with a A/C or Wix filter.
I know these motors are known to run upward of 200,000 miles, I just want to increase my chances of that. Please suggest an 10w 30 oil that I could pick up at the local Autozone or Murrys.
I had a v8 rebuilt and the rebuilder told me to stick with a pensylania oil like pennsoil and valvoline. opnions?
Havoline?? compared with valvoline / valvoline max life? ( extra mileage is a plus)
Wix filter compared with an A/C delco filers?
Thanks
Brian
