Hello everyone,I had a v8 rebuilt and the rebuilder told me to stick with a pensylania oil like pennsoil and valvoline. opnions?

Pennzoil, Quaker State, and Valvoline Durablend are garbage and will sludge your engine. PZ/QS needs no further explanation, but Valvoline is well known to produce awful UOAs. As for sludge, well... the company name is ASHland!!!!

For the new person asking the questions and other reading this.

His post is so full of it PLEASE just ignore him.

Its too bad some folks have to be here to contribute trash.

The Pennzoil, QS and Valvoline are EXCELLENT oils and if you change them per your manuals OCI, your good to go.

I understand everyone has an opnion. I was looking for a common oil that people seem to be happy with.

From this thread I learned havoline is the way to go, and If they are out of havoline or go with chevron, pennzoil, valvoline.

Thanks for all of the replys
