Hello hive, I need a motor mount, actually a transmission mount, for my 2001 Buick LeSabre. I'm on the Rock Auto site. They offer Anchor, Pioneer, and Westar. I've read here that Anchor is junk. What about Pioneer and Westar. Also, Rock Auto offers 2 versions of both the Pioneer and Westar. They're only $5 apart.
Also O'Reilly has a Power Torque model. Are they any good?

Thanks

Usually I suggest OEM but I doubt it's still available. I have used Pioneer and didn't have any problems. I never used Westar so I can't comment on it. Anchor is the one I stay clear of.

All of those listed by the OP are offshore garbage with the rigidity and longevity of cooked spaghetti. That said, the primary question might be "How easy is this part to swap?" I've used the cheap mounts many times if they're an easy R&R. For example, the front engine mount on my Caravan takes literally 4-5 minutes to swap. I have no problem using a 10 dollar mount - and replacing it more often - instead of spending 100 bucks for an OEM part.

If it takes considerable time & effort to swap I'll spend the money for OEM...that's a job I only want to do once. Ditto if it's a factory hydraulic mount.

All three of the mounts you mention are chinese junk and short warranty and last 6mos to a year TOPS. The autozone duralast would be a better option with the lifetime warranty and around $40

If this is the mount you need, GM still makes it. This is my commercial price on the GM from AZ so you may pay a little more but 1st check with the dealer as well on their price.

I think he is asking about the round mount on front of transmission behind radiator. I used last time the one from NAPA that was listed as solid not the hydraulic oe type and this one has lasted way longer than even the oe one and feel no difference in smoothness it just doesn't thump anymore as when they break.

Anchor and Westar are the same. Dunno why, but you may get a Westar stamped part in an Anchor box. Be sure to click to see the comical welds, if you're needing a laugh:

Oh yeah, a classic example of good welding, and these welds are done in a FACTORY. Heck, I have seen better welds made by a bare footed Pakistani arc welding in the dirt with a rusted coat hanger and a piece of cardboard with a thin slot cut in it to look out of! (Dang, maybe I am too cynical at this point of my life, and need an intervention)

Ahh, the Buick Series II 3800 V6. What I consider to be the best engine that GM ever designed. If I had my hands on one of those (and the funding of course) I would yank the 300,000+ mile worn out, semi-odd fire "boat anchor" 3.9 V6 in my 1st gen Dakota and install the 3800. It would make a great package. Oh well, those days are behind me now. Heavy sigh...................

Probably a reboxed Anchor mount.

I have had 6 3800 cars. 4 of them S/C. I have just used what I can get and have not had any problems to include the Anchor junk.
Basically that is what you get. One of my 3800s had rocker arms(increase lift without a cam swap), 2 sizes smaller pulley, full exhaust. It was an ok mover (low 13's) on questionable aftermarket mounts that were in better shape then the old stock ones.
You are limited, that car is 25 years old. I am pretty sure you are not laying into on daily basis. Don't think too hard about it, you are not
getting quality mounts for that thing in 2026, but you will get some that will give you a few years. I have Anchor in the 05 Lacrosse right now. Have been in there 2 years with issue.
