This is my all original 2000 Ford E-350 with the 5.4L 16V engine. Was used for delivery of liquid nitrogen for the majority of its life then retired at 560,000 miles has been used for towing and every other day use since then. Is currently sitting at 603,400 miles.

Wasn't the 5.4 a 3v per cylinder? You list yours as 16v. Or maybe that came later in 2004 with the Triton?
Is this the first sampling you've done of your oil? If so, and you don't mind, what made you get a used oil analysis at 597k? Thanks!

This is the 2-valve, 260HP/350Tq version of the Triton. I had one in my '03 FX4 F150. Some suffered from only a few threads in the head and shot their plugs out periodically. I was lucky and had the corrected heads, but have done many repairs back when I owned a shop. The 3 valve came out in 2004.
I'll third the oil used here. 600K miles and inquiring minds want to know!
Econoline vans had the 2 valve modular engines, up until they switched to the big Transits. How many timing chain repairs has it had in 600K? That's a lot of miles for one! Although, at 1 1/2 quarts added at only 3000 miles, the old girl must be starting to get a little tired. Guessing Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5W30 is the oil used?

Triton was the name of the 5.4 mod motor, 97 & 98 had the NPI (non power improved) heads and were 16V motors, 99 started the PI (power improved) heads and that continued to 03 as 16V motors. 03 & 04s had the 8 thread spark plug holes. You could have still had a 16V motor in 04 if you had a Lightning or a Heritage edition F150 but everything after was 3V
I had a E350 cutaway close 300k miles won't even guess the idle hours it was used for delivery in the NYC metro area engine never opened. Front end work was a big issue
There are no wear metals left in the engine.

Well this may disappoint some people or might please some but up until 200,000 miles motorcraft 5W20 then after 200,000 whatever full synthetic was on sale is what was used in 10W30 90% of the time full synthetic, sorry I dont have a end all be all answer on one oil. It's used oil since 200,000 miles so that is why it was changed over to 10W30 the oil consumption decrease was minimal but noticed and as miles were racked up quickly not having to add as often is a plus even if the difference was small. Oil change intervals were 5,000 miles on the dot while running the routes. After the routes and retiring the van 3000 seemed to better suit my use cases. The first analysis to the right was a used oil analysis of 10W30 Amsoil OE after two years in the crankcase. I used 5W30 after realizing there wasnt much of a difference at all between 10W30 and 5W30 for oil consumption.
Air filter developed a small tear during this interval probably causing the increased silicon.
I first changed the transmission fluid at 593,000 miles then again at 597,000 the reason for that was that the original fluid was finally getting burnt after replacing the thermostat for the first time in 10 years and the overall coolant temperatures increased causing the very weakened fluid to pretty much immediately break down at OEM temperature specs.
5,000 during the routes and 3000 now due to driving very little in comparison so time is more of a factor now.
The engine is 100% internally original believe it or not it does tick on the passenger side head but oil analysis shows no obvious issues. And for the oil consumption the valve seals were verified as the issue after adding high mileage Lucas oil additive and a significant reduction was shown due to reconditioning of the rubber seals this took significant time to take effect though. Smoke eventually vanished on cold starts and oil consumption decreased by 50%. I dont reccomend Lucas overall due to a unnecessary viscosity increase and reduction of your overall oil additive package but it worked incredibly well to swell up the worn rubber seals to slow consumption. This smoke on startup issue was recent about 5000 miles ago from today's 603,400 miles.
I guess if I really want to test how tight the bearing clearances are after 600,000 miles lol.
