I know the OP has already decided to change his oil but I've got a car that gets low annual mileage too. I think it's been around 2K miles since it's last oil change in 2017 if I recall correctly. It doesn't get a lot of short trips and usually reaches full operating temperature when it's driven. It's a '97 Ford I bought new and currently has 42K miles.
