We have heard how good it can be, now lets hear if there has been any bad stories.

Mineral oils in older style V8 engines.

I want to hear of there are any storeys of problem with roller systems, with the bearings spinning in their bores, or if there are other valve train issues even with Flat Tappet cams.

I don't doubt that "technical" they are much better, hands down. But it gets confusing when you have guy's that build tuff engines that have lived a long time on 20w 50 mineral oil with no trouble, ok yes they wont make the extra what ever HP that NASCAR teams are looking for, but in the real world it seems they do the job and do it well.

I do however believe that purpose made high end quality syn oils like Amsoil and Redline are far support to the major company offerings.

We have all heard that on paper there is no challenge between the two, but now lets here if on the street there is much more or less to go on about.
