Yeah, but we tools have different degrees of "bad timing!"

Only thing odd is. That. Sometimes I see smoke coming from under the front passenger door... at lights, or when car is not moving!

^^^ IS that my exhaust backing up or is it ATF hitting an exhaust?

Probably atf. The whole underside of the truck is probably covered in atf. When you come to a stop there is no wind to blow the smoke away.

Congrats! Your truck is now officially better than it was. What were the numbers this time?

Please post the numbers so that we can see the difference.

If you could even dig up the before O2 sensor numbers, so that we can see them in the same post, that would be really nice of you.

You can still get them.

Did you ever do anything about that starter?

Now all you need to do is fix the ATF and coolant leaks. The first is simple and cheap, the other we'll need to have more info and pix to help you with.

Once those things are taken care of, DON'T DO ANYTHING ELSE for a while. Save some money.

Here's his old results.

Anyone have his VIN so we can get his passing results?
I'm not sure he's going to cooperate with us so we know how much of an improvement there was.

What about going to that AAA diagnostic station that gives a full report on the vehicle. I think it was mentioned 32 pages ago.

Well, that's pretty good.

Your HC's dropped from 783 and 829 to 131 and 140.
Your CO% dropped from 7.93 and 8.05 to .86 and .91.
And your CO2 and O2 increased meaning that your catalytic convertor is working quite well at converting HC and CO into CO2, H2O and O2.

Interesting that NJ doesn't test for NOx emissions.
Unless they don't test NOx on a vehicle this old.
Anyone know?

With how massive a drop you see in the HC, you should have a pretty huge fuel increase if you can control your lead foot.

Honestly, you should sell the truck, since you just doubled its value on the market.
