Changed oil in the 04 Trailblazer yesterday for a family friend with 2% showing on the olm.I have been busy and other than checking fluid levels on a biweekly basis, as always, i haven't given another thought to the mileage on the oil until resetting the olm and charting the current milage yesterday.Upon seeing the two numbers my first thought was WOW! Simple math quickly told the story.Previous change at 79,296 miles current mileage 93,579 miles = 14,283 miles.I am a not really concerned this is too long,it did involve a large amount of highway miles. Her recent job change has made for a longer commute mostly highway and all indications point to no issues.I should have sent it off for an uoa but didn't really think too much about it until i put the numbers together, and at that point the oil had been added to my 5gal used oil container for dumping at the pick up site mixed with other various oils.Should i be the least bit concerned? What i know about the GM olm tells me all is ok but,i am a conventional at 5k with a new filter guy,she provides the oil and filter and i do the work for free. Is this just way too long for this oil and or filter combination,5-30 QSUD and a PF61 filter? I feel all is well personally but would like your input. Thanks!
