11,000 mile filter off a buddies 18,000 mile oci.

Out/off: HPL passenger car engine oil 5w30 4.5 quarts, Fram endurance FE10575

In/on: HPL passenger car engine oil 5w30 6 quarts, Fram Endurance FE10575

This is the second Fram endurance FE10575 off this truck during this 18,000 oci. First filter changed 7,000 miles.

I believe the filter held up well and is loaded up. It has some weight to it and took quite a while for the free oil to drain out of the can for a picture.

I will wick dry and update post once wicked. Owner may provide the UOA when it is run. I will post that if possible as well.

First run with HPL. Anticipating engine cleaning and not trying to over load the filter. After wicking this filter will determine if he will go full oci length on filter in the future.

Will be interesting to dissect this filter to get answers. As @bullwinkle questioned it doesn't look like wire backing. Are you sure it was an FE & not an Ultra? Could Fram not be offering wire backing on some of their Endurance models.

We'll see what it looks like dried up...

100% sure its labeled an endurance. Looking forward to dissecting in a few days

Good point. Interesting thing is there is no date code visible. It either isnt there at all or has faded away. New FE10575 by comparison.

Those LT-style 4.3s aren't too shabby of a motor. Decent power out of them and pretty stellar fuel economy, could easily get 23-24 on a long highway drive.
