What do you mean by "viscosity does not appear to have increased"....did you do a UOA or just feel it with your knowing fingers?

Just that, no UOA was done, hence my qualifier, 'does not appear'. I don't have calibrated fingers - yet.

Here. No UOA, just your OPINION. Not FACT - opinion. Like a Russian government news brief - falsehoods, void of facts.

Check post 5234890 for my methodology.

Enjoy your last word (I am sure you will not be able to control yourself) - as your OPINION has been exposed as incorrect and ridiculous. Your 'thinnie oil' will shear out of grade quicker, than the heavier duty capable, heavier grade. Enjoy the soon to be 10W20 or straight 10W10 in however much less time it takes to get there in your heavy duty application of - tractor.

HTHS number for same oil in the 2 discussed grades:
Chevron Delo 400 XLE SAE 10W-30 HTHS @ 150 C by ASTM D4683 is > 2.9 mPa.s.
Chevron Delo 400 XLE SAE 15W-40 HTHS @ 150 C by ASTM D4683 is > 4.2 mPa.s.
