I wonder what would be the ideal Car for a 10W-40.
I am reminded of my parent's 1982 Olds Delta 88 Royale, with the 307. That thing was a Tank.. i swear, if you shot it, it would keep going.
THAT car, in the 80s and 90s, used Texaco Havoline Supreme 10W-40 year Round.. in Upstate NY. Unless 10w30 was used unbeknownst to me.. btu it went OVER 350,000 miles, and i wonder if the 10W-40 was what kept it going?
3000 mile OCI -Religiously.-
Sooo, my Olds is a 1991 4-cyl, waay different, Fuel Injected and the like.. it says 5w30 on the Filler Cap so now that ive found a good Oil for it (Valvoline maxLife Full Synthetic 5w30, should be fien in there until end of time,) I wonder about the Other Olds relationship with 10W-40, and other cars..
