Your eyes deceive you!!! Look at all the sludge in that engine!!
Anyway, yeah they are known sludgers, but if you do a "reasonable" OCI then it wouldn't be an issue.
Another car, poor guy bought it with 58k on it and drove it at 89k. The dealer supposedly did a "flush" when he bought it and it turns out like this. Not sure what his OCI schedule was but this is on the same forum.
The best area's to see are the pistons ie the ring lands and such, the oil pick-up screen and the oil pump gears.I would measure what the cam operates instead of the lobes themselfs as they are normaly good to go in a OHC engine it is OHV engines that tend to eat cams.
Usually 4000 miles. I put on 500 miles a week so I have had intervals slip to 5000. Most of the miles I put on the car are highway miles. And I usually add a quart of kerosene to the crank case and let it idle for 3 to 5 minutes before draining.
been seeing lots of Chrysler's huffing out lots of blue smoke lately....especially the V6's....i suppose those engine are prone to burning quite abit of oil especially if they are neglected.

That can happen with any engine that is neglected.
That's 25 oil changes. For me it would only be maybe 4 or 5, with Amsoil. I have better things to do with my time and money than be changing oil all the time. I know my engine is just as nice or better at 150,000. I used engine flush maybe 2 times.
