As a gun owner, why would you want to bring negative attention to yourself? [/quote]
It was just a simple question on what I considered a lame security procedure. I didn't ask it in a flippant manner. What I found ironic in this "security procedure" was I was able to buy both gun and ammo at the same time. Wouldn't it make more sense that if you bought a gun, you would have to leave with the gun and then come back "gunless" to buy ammo? Wouldn't it make even more sense that you could pick up the gun today and wait a few days to buy ammo? Whoever came up with the "walk it to the car and all is well" method didn't think it through. Perhaps if gun owners created these procedures, they would make better sense. I don't think that's "negative attention."
