10 Best 1970s Car Chase Films

.
1. The spy who loved me (1977, of course Bond, because ultra-agile Lotus Esprit)
2. Intouchables (2011, France, because beautiful sound of a Maserati Quattroporte)
3. Italian Job (the UK-made original from 1969, Michael Caine, because Mini Cooper)
.

"The Wraith" is the '80's ultimate chase film. (and teaches you why you never drag race on public roads ;) )

Here’s one I loved as a kid. James Brolin getting chased by The Car on his two stroke dirt bike!! 1977.

They grossly omitted a little known film (now blockbuster franchise) called Mad Max, which launched the genre and Mel Gibson's career, and spawned multiple impressive car chase movies. The original Mad Max has some extremely impressive looking vehicles and car chases, and revolutionized many of the low-wide angle camera mounting techniques. And it's a better FILM than most on that top 10 list as well... If you like cars, chases, story, acting, action, stunts... Mad Max is a great film.

Mad Max came out in 1980.
Bullitt came out in 1968

So both of those films don't fall into the context of the video - 1970s car movie car chases. There are however all kinds of similar movie car chase videos on YouTube for the 80s, 90s, etc.

Supposedly, these were the telease dayes in the USA.
