Best Movie Final Scenes

James Caan at the end of The Gambler.
As a kid I didn’t understand it. As an adult, I do. Don’t see it on YouTube, only the 2014 remake.

"They'll see and they'll know and they'll say, 'Why she wouldn't even hurt a fly.'"

The Mist
Se7ven
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Raiders of the Lost Ark: warehouse scene
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: riding off into the sunset

"I see dead people..."

This was the first movie that popped in my head. I remember my wife and I watching it before we had kids. The entire movie theater was almost silent leaving, not the normal end of movie conversations. Everyone was whispering OMG, holy crap, I didn't even think that or notice it etc.

The twist was signaled very early on. Not only does nobody but Cole ever interact with Malcolm because they can't see Malcolm but Cole outright tells Malcolm "I see dead people" and mentions that ghosts don't realize what they are.

Final scene from a real classic almost 100 years old:

Jean Harlow, Dinner at Eight

Next year 1934, Hollywood instituted a type of "Code of Ethics" so this line perhaps would not have survived.

Kudos....................TCM rocks
