10/40 synthetic for jeep grand cherokee

Hello - I have a bunch of M1 10w40 HM synthetic stockpiled that I run in a saab turbo and would like to use it on other cars as well. would it be ok to use that grade in a 00 grand cherokee 4.7? Primarily in the warmer months.

Yes, but I would want something thinner like a 5W-40, 0W-40, 5W-30, or even a 0W-30 in the coldest winter months for better flow during cold starts out there in UT.
