1 Vehicle With 2 Different Wiper Blades

What year, what car?
The last 5 cars in the family have had differing length front wipers. 22" and 24" on my last 3 cars.
The kicker was when a car pal noticed that my blades were different styles. I told him the front blades can wear differently on Volvos because there's a switch which disables the passenger side wiper. I told him it was an old holdout feature from the '40's.
HE BELIEVED ME. Now THAT'S craziness.

In my personal case, since 2011. Don't know when manufacturers really may have started the trend.

Many cars are and have been made with different size wipers. Some have the same size like both my trucks and my beetle.
my daily has 1 wiper blade
All of my cars have different sizes on the left and right. I didn’t know there were cars that had them the same.

Not lately. 50 years ago and back it was common. Today most cars have different sizes.
The older cars had opposing wipers which necessitated equal sizes.
The passenger wiper on my 911 was curved as well.
For us it is abnormal to have something with the same size blade on both sides. The F-series usually do, but with anything else it is a toss-up.
I think my 83 Toyota Tercel might have had the same sized wipers for both front wipers. My 97 civic and 2015 caravan have two different sized wiper blades. I keep the sizes saved on my phone.
It's been like that for decades now.
Both cars in my signature have two different wiper blade sizes. I've seen vehicles with 3 wiper blades like the FJ Cruiser and a few with 1 wiper blade.
Actually two of my cars have three different wiper blade sizes. Hope that doesn’t push you over the edge.
