0wt oils for the winter

That would work for me during the summer, especially with that VI!

I was under the impression that PC were really using severely refined dino type base oils.
Is the PC 0w-30 a full synthetic or just a Group III with ultra refining ?
Which exact grade are you talking about here?

Petro Canada Supreme Synthetic 0w30. Yes apparently a GPIII maybe GPIII+. It has been said that some of their HDEOs use some GPIV.

So what is the practical difference if any b/w the Grp III's, III+'s and IV's ?

Practically, I believe the biggest difference is in the cold flow properties. More resistance to heat and oxidization as well.
