I have honda pilot 2007 ex what to used ester and poa mix i can get it 0w40 half the price of 5w20 i want used ester oil to clean my engine did using 0w40 in 5w20 reccomantion Damage the car i don’t car about mpg . Just want to know what damage can occur using it ?thank you

I have a 12 Accord 2.4l and a acura MDX 3.7l. Both run great on Castrol 0,/40. No loss in mpg
You will find that the 0W-40 oil will work exceptionally well in that engine.

Yes IIRC Trav might have commented about his experience using Mobil 1 0W40 in that engine with good results. Hopefully he sees this and corrects me if I'm mixing it up with another vehicle.

Your engine needs cleaning? Did you ever show that it did?
Isn't this about the 4th or 5th oil we've all considered here for that car? Please decide on one.

You find may 0W40 performance sluggish 5W20 more. Mix perhaps 5W20 and 0W40 for well like blend.
