5w-30 in my 22 Charger GT

    Hmmm... I'm no expert, but 20w50 seems a bit much for Mopar's V6, 3.6L engine. I wouldn't do that.

5w-30 in my 22 Charger GT

For those that care, I have been running Castrol EDGE full synthetic 5w30 in both of my 3.6L V6 vehicles since I changed the break in oil @ 500 miles. Both cars, 2022 Charger and Challenger, have been running perfectly, sharing both the Arizona HOT summers with the So. Cal. mild winters. I...

Anyone doing this? Castrol 5w-30 in 2021 Dodge Charger GT V-6?

Thanks for the replies. I've been reading that European Mopar owners, mostly military, only have access to 5w30 because 5w-20 is impossible to find.

    Trailer tires - Please advise

Replace tires for sure but equally important, get the axle bearings serviced / greased. I watched a friend lose an entire wheel while he was towing jet skis and it was a BIG freeway mess.

0w20 vs 0w30 in my Dodge Challenger V-6?

I'm just surveying the wisdom of this forum. I'm amazed at the options and "science" of motor oil. So many things to consider.

0w20 vs 0w30 in my Dodge Challenger V-6?

I'm new to BITOG and I love it! Thank you all for sharing your personal experiences in this forum. Is there any wisdom in using 0w30 in my 2020 Dodge Challenger V-6 during our Arizona summer? I've recently read that the thinness of the 0w30 might be "better" during STARTUP as it flows...

HEMI 5.7 engine autopsy findings from a 2011 Dodge Challenger

This is an interesting quote regarding OEM recommended oil. The link to the full article is attached at the end of the thread. "Do a web search for "Hemi camshaft failures," and you'll find a few thousand photos of gouged cam lobes, most of them the result of lifter failures on MDS cylinders...
