    type f fluid in 4l60e

thank you. the redline links are what i was talking about. "recommended" is not an aproval.

    type f fluid in 4l60e

if i understand you correctly that would mean lower static torque capacity with modified fluid after all? yes/no? (standards: e.g. redline only states "Satisfies GL-4 gear oil requirements" and "similar to type f". nothing else.) update: "Yes you could use that transmission fluid but only if...

    type f fluid in 4l60e

mola, please advise on this: i was of the opinion that the retained fluid in the friction paper material influences static friction and that the increased level of fm's in contemporary anti shudder fluids (→cstcc) reduces the slope of the initial (up to 1 m/s) fcoef/speed curve by lowering...

    type f fluid in 4l60e

update: a tech a redline said the only issue would be shudder when engaging the clutch. im not concerned about it as i dont lock the converter anyway. othewise he didnt see any issues. it should provide higher line pressure because of the higher viscosity.

    type f fluid in 4l60e

edit: while ihave your attention, does the 4l60e pump in park?

    type f fluid in 4l60e

thank you guys. so i have to accept the "no", but please help me understand the "why". mola, are you saying only the dynamic coef is higher and the static the same, so it will not hold more torque? as mentioned the harsh lock ups is what im looking for, at least its my understanding i should...

    type f fluid in 4l60e

"Produces faster shifts, quicker lock-up, better converter efficiency at high temps" (redline) "... automatic transmissions coupled to high-horsepower, high-torque engines and where heavy loads place a high demand ..." (amsoil) thats what they say. has anybody used it in a 4l60e?

    type f fluid in 4l60e

well, speeding up (slamming?) the shifts is actually the idea. i cant get under 0.3 sec with software at full torque. i guess its a balance between burning up and breaking?

    type f fluid in 4l60e

what happens if you put ford type f atf into a 1999 4l60e? e.g. motocraft f, amssoil supershift, mobile f. what happens with redline full synthetic f (10/53 cst)? will there be an real torque capacity increase?

ATF for Road Racing/Track days in GT86

i would be interested in the " temp monitoring solution". what is out there? preferably 4 channels or more.

    oil for T-56

it might be usefull to copy my original post in here: "is anybody running amsoil "manual synchromesh transmission fluid" (mtfqt) in a t-56?" it is specifically recommended by amsoil for the t56. (of course they will also tell you their dex3 equivalent is correct.)

    oil for T-56

you mean signature series? this is 7.6/37 viscosity. im simply looking for a heavier fluid (i came up with the notion that more protection is needed when you put twice the torque through the trans than what its rated for). thats why i mentioned tes-295/668. pablo, i appreciate it. its a general...

    oil for T-56

i asked them how come they specify a thicker fluid and if it would affect shifting. yes, rpm recommends rp synchromesh. it has dex3 viscosity. im simply looking for more protection. maybe ill have a look at the tes-295 fluids.

    oil for T-56

yes, pre 1999 (out of memory) units were reported to have problems with the cellulose binder. t56 in question is 2007 c6zo6. i would hate to experience notchy shifting until the oil heats up (happens fast, but anyway). asked amsoil twice, but got no reply. i guess they recommend it and dont...

    oil for T-56

thank you. i still wonder if anybody has experience with amsoil synchromesh (49.4/10.1/196) i the T56. it seems pretty thick at 40°c.
  17. C

    oil for T-56

yes, i wonder how the trans will behave with the higher viscosity. surprisingly amsoil specifically recommends it.

is anybody running amsoil "manual synchromesh transmission fluid" (mtfqt) in a t-56?

so it appears you dont particularly care about hths values, they are a result of other considerations?

    High Performance Lubricants PDS

how come hths of 15w40 is lower than 10w40 and 20w40 lower still? straight 40 grade is lower than 10w40?
