    Save yourself some money on the Transynd. Castrol makes Transynd for Allison. Allison reccomends a TES-295 rated synthetic ATF, of which one of the five on Allison's website is BP Autrans Syn 295 which is much cheaper than Transynd. BP is the parent company of Castrol.

    Of the 5 TES-295 rated synthetics, the one that caught my eye was Autran Syn 295. Transynd is made by Castrol for Allison. The parent company of Castrol is BP, which makes Autran Syn 295. The stuff from BP is almost half the price, but minimum order is 5 ga.

    Need to add that info here has told me that Castrol is a division of BP. Transynd is made by Castrol for Allison. Since Autran syn 295 has the same specs. it seems we have the same formulation as Transynd for almost 1/2 the cost.
