    Malwarebytes 2.0?

2.0 looks like one of those viruses that are made to look like anti-viruses. I really dislike the new UI but the scanning speed has increased significantly.

What do you think? (computer question)

It won't matter with a spinning disc, SATA 3 on a SATA 2 controller is fine.

How do i hook up my new monitor

VGA should be able to do 1600x1200 easy. The problem might be that the onboard DVI output does not have any analog support. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface#Connector

    Anyone running Nissan Matic-D?

My Pathfinder also had a factory fill of Matic D. I don't think it's necessary to use, as MolaKule said above. I currently run Castrol Import Multi Vehicle (since renamed to Castrol Transmax Import) and I am happy with the shift quality. I also have an auxiliary cooler plumbed after the stock...

    Nissan Blue

Nissan Green and Blue coolants can be safely mixed according to the following TSB: Quote: NTB09-040a - NEW BLUE NISSAN LONG LIFE ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT SERVICE INFORMATION: In calendar year 2009, Nissan began filling some vehicles at the factory with a NEW Nissan Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant (LLC)...

Castrol ATF vs Castrol Transmax ATF vs Maxlife ATF

I have Castrol Import Multi Vehicle ATF in my Pathfinder which specifies Nissan Matic D and I am happy with the shift quality and performance. I believe they renamed Castrol IMV to Transmax IMV a year or two ago, they should be the same product as some other posters have confirmed above. I would...

Super Tech Wiper Blades At WM

I replaced Trico ExactFit blades on my Pathfinder with SuperTech blades. The ST blades are the quietest wipers I've ever used, they are silent in operation. They seem to work fine too. The Trico blades seemed to have melted in the sun, they were smearing awfully the other day so I needed new...

    Registry error fix tool

The registry does not need to be cleaned. The registry is a flat database file and erroneous entries will not make it any slower. Leave it alone. At best, registry cleaners do nothing; at worst, they will cause problems.

Putting an SSD in an old desktop

SATA-III is backwards compatible. Don't bother mounting it, just plug it in and leave it hanging, it'll be fine.

2009 G5 - benefit to changing coolant early?

Thanks for describing why Havoline's coolant is better than the others. I haven't seen Havoline coolant anywhere but a Texaco gas station, does anybody know where I might find some elsewhere? Or will I have to order online somewhere? Amazon only sells cases of 6. There is no O'Reilly auto parts...

Thanks, I'll change it soon. What coolants are Dexclones? Prestone's AM/AM at Walmart? SuperTech?

    Fram TG9018, 8532 miles w/ PU 5W-30

I have never seen an OEM filter (car had a CH9018 when I first serviced it, which you can see photos of here), but next time I buy a filter I will compare its length to an ACDelco. I should have taken a photo of the Fram Ultra next to the used Fram Toughguard, but I didn't think to. The housing...

2009 G5 - benefit to changing coolant early?

I believe there is a drain bolt on the water pump which is supposed to be opened when draining all of the coolant. Would I open both that and the radiator drain plug and flush using a garden hose placed in the overflow reservoir until it runs clear, drain the system again and refill with 50/50...

    Fram TG9018, 8532 miles w/ PU 5W-30

There is a blue blob of RTV or glue or something between the housing cap and its housing, I'd guess from a previous service at a dealer or quick lube. I tightened the housing until the two marks were aligned, more or less - and the cap bottomed out at that point as well.

2009 G5 - benefit to changing coolant early?

My girlfriend's Pontiac G5 has ~39,500 miles on it. The owner's manual's maintenance schedule says to change the coolant at 150,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. Is there any benefit to changing the coolant a year early? It doesn't get below freezing where we are at in Florida. I...
