Their 5qt jug was was almost $40 Store brand conventional 5w30 was $3.79. Way too much, I know they cant compete with WM on prices but almost double ? Personally I wont pay that. I wish WM would carry m1 synth atf, right now only AZ has it near me and its $8/qt

    Ultra - So what happened?

That oil doesnt make much sense for walmart, all the highend oils are $22 and then this $28... Both make the same claims on the packaging, so of course people are buying the cheaper one.

    Mobil 1 and EP

Y K I do understand that, but reality is most people cannot lawyer up over things like this. Especially a misinformed person, which most consumers are ( I'm not excluding myself ). If you take it to litigation and ask the rep to prove its your fault, theyll simply say you overan the oil. Your...

    Mobil 1 and EP

I didnt mean to bring magnusson-moss act into the thread, I meant warranty or oil related purposes/problems. If they spec 7500 miles and your current batch and every other one before you ran for 10k, you can rest assured knowing they wont have to prove anything if your bearings go... or any...

    Mobil 1 and EP

Im sure this has een covered 1million times before. Noone needs an extended oil drain, its a matter of want. M1 EP has to be more advanced the reg M1, Id say it has to do with the certification process. The cert thing is for warranty purposes, overshooting your OLM on warranty will void it so...

thanks for the reassurance guys... my cooling system is fine, al gauges read normal, coolant is fresh, t-stat goes on, no noise from pump, system is pressurized. it just seems like the engine bay is normally supposed to get hot like this, which had me thinking I was cooking the oil.
