so i was doing some spirited driving... heard a pop... then smelled coolant... got her shut down before the temp gauge barely moved... no major damage to the radiator. next decision is electric fan or go with OEM clutch/blades....

so far, I haven't seen anyone ask what the end goals for this car are. If its just for a better feel of the car on on/off ramps etc, I say go for it IF you're going to keep the car for a while. If you're trading it in in a year, why bother? I'd like to do this to my crown vic, as I drive it...

i got my crown vic stuck a couple of times in the snow... high centered on the diff on a huge chunk of ice... after i was ran off the road by a [censored] in a jeep doin 50 in 18" of snow...

that fill hole looks like its raised off the valve cover a good bit too, which doesn't help the oil circulation problem there... see if you can see down the hole...

my performance cars go with coppers (ngk) my daily gets platinum (Motorcraft) as i'm not going to potentially screw up what three threads i have for the spark plugs...

I may not be a seasoned mechanic, but I know my way around the engine bay with wrenches and torque wrenches. I'd be budgeting at least 3 days if not 4 to do it right.

Sounds fun. hopefully my mom will allow me to do it, i'm pretty sure with my new found mechanical knowledge. Least i don't have to time any cams hah.

Trying to figure this out for my mom. She has an 02 Buick century that has apparently been leaking coolant. They took it to pep boys and they say they found traces of oil in the coolant and are saying that it needs an intake manifold gasket? Would this be correct? I was thinking about doing this...
