I have a Daihatsu/ B&S 25 HP diesel engine. I am trying to identify the type on injection pump on it. The data plate has VE3 to start the model number. It is a distributor type pump. With that part of the number known, is it a possibility that it is a Bosch VE pump, 3 cylinder version.

Based on that information, it will be a trial and error test. Try the highest speed without causing excessive water noise flowing through the pipes. However, too low of a speed and all of the heat is lost before it makes it to the end of the loop. So like everything else, it is a balancing act.

The Safety Kleen products are not too bad. This past summer, I worked on a state run golf course and all we use are the recycled products. Even though we don't do UOA's the engines seem to be clean and run well with up over 4000 hours.

If you are on a Municipal sewer, contact them. I know where I live, I called them and said that antifreeze was safe for the sewer. Just another food source for the bacteria.
