Amsoil ATH is a Very good oil. I’m running it in my Kioti CK30HST since the first change and now have 650 hours on the oil. I did change both filters at 450 hours and topped off the oil. Plan to run to 1000 and then full change unless I do a UOA first. I’m in Ontario Canada and the hydraulics...

Run it as usual and after it dies open the gas cap and listen for air being sucked in. Did you buy an OEM cap or some cheap Amazon knockoff ?

But WHY would anyone use a 5w30 in a lawn mower engine in the first place? It’s a hardworking hot running machine so a more suitable grade like 10w30 or 10w40 would be better….

True. But my understanding is it had issues Before the oil change. Maybe the OP could clarify. “Car already has DPF issues as it is....“

Sounds like the DPF issues were already happening before the improper oil change….however the owner should be able to get some consideration due to the screwup, I would think.

Changed U/K oil to Amsoil 10w40 Premium Protection and NGK Spark plug too. Neighbour cleaning out his garage and I bought this little Honda generator cheap…😉

I actually changed the oil today in my Red 3000is after a hard weeks work due to an ice storm knocking out our power for 3 days.

All’s well that ends well. But now discontinue your habit of removing the battery at the end of your growing season and simply leave it in, and attach the maintainer. Unplug, remove, start it up, next season….
