Got the bug to hear my 25hp Commercial Turf run yesterday so I gave it a crank - when it was put away for the winter last season, I never did anything to prepare it. I had meant to but life happened and I just never bothered. So no stabilizer, no topping the tank off, no oil change, nothing (in all previous years except for last year, I have never treated my fuel or otherwise pampered my OPE, so this was nothing new). After a little extra cranking which is common on this machine for the first start of the year, she fired right up and settled down to an idle. Happiness and joy was abound and my needs were satisfied! As always, I'm looking forward to mowing season again, though now that my wife has a zero turn, it won't be quite so much fun - I won't be able to hog the yard work so much.. boo!

Carburetor or fuel injected? My neighbor gave me a funnel fuel filter that I use to fill my trimmer. I'd probably run some heat in case of water separation.

The only thing "special" I do is I use Stabil through out the year, and I double dose as I get closer to the end of the season. I try to fog it but sometimes that doesn't happen. I still have to pull the plug wires because otherwise it will fire really fast, even with no throttle or choke. I just like to spin it a couple times before it fires.

I change oil, filter, plugs at 100hrs, regardless of where that falls in the season.

I just run my mower "dry" at the end of the year. Seems to be fine for it. All my 2 stroke stuff with diaphragm fuel pumps seems to be a bit more picky with carb and pump issues now. I used to have a source of ethanol free 91 octane at the closest station but that is gone now, and so I have more problems it seems. Probably worth driving a bit further if I think about it...

Put stabil in every hibernation period & then use Berryman fuel system cleaner through the mowing season. Happy to hear your equipment survived the fuel deterioration.

I didn't do anything to my push mover or riding mover last fall other than put a bit of fuel stabilizer in them. I was too busy with our cabin remodel to futz with oil changes. I did put a trickle charger on the rider a couple of time throughout the winter though.

I usually just use Trufuel and a little MMO when the tractor is in winter storage.
The oil, fuel filter and air cleaner get changed in the Spring.

It is carbureted. I've had really good luck with all my OPE not having any fuel related issues so far.

Be sure to brag about any issues that arise due to your negligence…..when they do 🤣
Not too worried about it. If haven't had problems in 20 plus years, then I doubt I'll start any time soon. My L110 Deere has about 750hrs on it and it's been ran with nothing but E10 for all of its life. Always shut off at the end of the season and always fires up at the begining of the next and never any fuel system troubles... Well, except for some dirt that made the needle hang twice.

That said, I will try to use some form of treatment moving forward - I think CRC Marine fuel stabilizer is what I'll run.

I fired up my Honda mower, on Saturday, for the first time since November. It started on the first weak pull due to a balky shoulder. I run stabil year round and actually remembered to close the petcock and run it out of fuel last fall. I sharpened the blade and go every other season with oil changes of 10w30 synthetic. Felt nice to be outside. The Echo trimmer was a little more difficult to start but eventually fired up after 5-6 pulls. Both are 12 years old.

John Deere jx75 as per usual first pull start !
I run stabilizer and 10ml of two stroke oil in a 2 gallon can never any issues in my four stroke equipment , and I run them dry at season end .
