Getting mixed advice about trans temps

You need one twice that size for that type of vehicle and a fan, you can front mount the fan. There are plenty of spots to mount it.

Getting mixed advice about trans temps

My ZF transmission runs a air cooler only with a fan and only ever gets to 180 F. It was much hotter than that when it ran it through the radiator as well. Put the biggest trans cooler on it with a fan and it will be fine. Just remember to add more fluid for the cooler and service trans regularly.

Honda S2000 90k miles; 1k Miles on Penrite Racing 10w40

Looks really good, the extra silicon is probably from the redline oil itself added as an antifoaming additive.

Question for those who reuse oil filters

Well look thick oil isn't going to drain as well as thin it will cling to more internals etc.

Question for those who reuse oil filters

Yes exactly, that's why hot oil and the flush will bring more out because of dilution and chemicals to remove more contaminants, deposits etc.

Question for those who reuse oil filters

Flush doesn't hurt anything at low levels and burns off anyway. We have seen UOA's here on BITOG that verify only minute differences in viscosity with an oil flush.

Question for those who reuse oil filters

Na I use a quality oil flush like 95% of all professionals except here on BITOG. So, more oxidized oil in the circuit is better than less?

Question for those who reuse oil filters

By not changing the filter every oci you are just leaving more oxidised oil in the system which breaks down the new oil much quicker.

When Mike Tyson Tells You To Stop, You Stop.

Did Tyson actually get a good punch on him? It looks like a couple of ring marks on the guys face. If he hit him good he would of been taken off the flight by the paramedics. Looks like a little shake up struggle to me.

    Thoughts on this 0W-40?

Yep its an Australian oil. Nulon (owned by Fuchs) do all the ordinary stuff with approvals but dabble in some motorsport type oils as well including their racing oil. They developed this 0w40 with pao/ester because some people couldn't be convinced that their racing oil pao/an was the bees knees...

    Pentosin ATF8

Yes you are correct. However, in Australia a few of the fluid manufacturers suggest the 'thicker' standard fluid over the fuel-efficient type. The ford falcon with the ZF 6 in Australia doesn't have a very good factory cooler and trans temps are usually around 100 C or more. There are a lot of...

How often should I change the oil and filter on a 2012 Ford turbo diesel territory?!

Yep, around 7500km is a good interval with quality oil and filter.
