    Bosch Icon Wipers?

I've found Bosch Icon's to be excellent as well. The ones I put on my truck have held up great for well over a year including surviving Illinois winter, without streaking any yet. I had good luck using Rain-X Weatherbeaters before, but they normally needed replaced every 6 months so it's Bosch...

Have to replace snap ring/servo on the F150.....

You might want to check that your truck doesn't have the 4R75W transmission, as that is what my 04 new body F-150 has. Though I have the 5.4 3V, so it might be a different transmission with the 4.6.

    Supertech 10W30 Burning up?

Conventional non-ope 10W-30 probably isn't a good choice for your mower as far as protection, at least in the summer time. That being said a decent synthetic should do great at protection, and help your engine run a bit cooler. I have run Pennzoil Platinum 10W-30 in my Deere 165 Hydro riding...

    Decoy Gloves for Duck Hunting

Slick17601, thanks for the recommendation! I didn't see any on Cabela's website when I checked so I'll have to take another look. By the way, your right about Cabela's neoprene chest waders I have a pair as well and have been very happy with them so far.

    Decoy Gloves for Duck Hunting

Hi all, any duck or waterfowl hunters out there I'd appreciate any opinions on a good set of decoy gloves for duck hunting. I already had bought a pair of Flambeau elbow length decoy gloves from Walmart for $25.00 and the first time I used them one glove leaked water between a couple of the...

    a good pair of shoes

Under Armour shoes might be worth a try. I just recently got a pair of Under Armour "Storm" running/walking shoes, and they are very light weight and comfortable. The only disadvantage is that some of Under Armour's shoes can run a bit narrow.

    New (to me) car.

Sounds like you've got a good plan with the MC 5W-20 and FL-820S. That combo is definitely good for 5k, and the semi-synthetic should have a little better cold flow properties for winter.

Deere Dealer recommended 30wt for winter use...

+1 on the T5 10W-30. If the tractor was just running the occasional auger I wouldn't worry about it to much and just plug it in before starting it. However, being used for chores every day the better cold flow capability of the 10W-30 would definitely be worth it in the winter.

    first car

Depends on how you look at it, but when I turned 15 my dad got me a 95 Chevy Corsica 4 cylinder, automatic to learn to drive on. Then, a couple months before I turned 16 I got the 66 Mustang in my signature that has a 200 straight six with the "Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic" C4 transmission. Both...

How often to rotate your tires?

I rotate the Cooper AT/3's on my truck every 6k miles just to make sure the tread wears evenly, plus the place that I bought my tires from gives free rotations every 6k so I figure it can't hurt.

    FPDM, 2004 F-150

I had my fuel pump control module replaced by the Ford dealer when it went out, and I believe the only difference from the original part with the new design is that Ford added a spacer to prevent the corrosion. I can't speak for the quality of the Dorman, but if it has the added spacer to keep...

    Havoline 5W20

Havoline definitely has 5W-20, Rural King (like a Farm & Fleet or TSC) sells 5W-20 Havoline and has it for around $3.00 a quart. If you have some kind of farm supply store in your area you might give them a try.

    Easiest Car to work on?

I'd pick my 1966 Mustang as it is pretty easy to work on, and has tons of room with the 200 straight 6. You can't get any simpler for spark plug and oil changes, and as an added bonus everything is in standard so no guessing what to grab when you go to work on it. The engine bay (a lot like the...

Limited slip rear end, F150 gear oil.

I changed my gear oil and used the recommended 75W-140 in my F-150 with the 3.73 limited slip and it's done fine so far with no chatter or binding. Changed it at 118,xxx and now at 143,xxx. I used Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 and added their friction modifier just to be safe. As far as fuel...

Does it make any sense to mix oils?

Generally, I don't see any reason to mix oils because as others have stated the oil companies and their engineers probably know more than us. I have however mixed oils a couple of times, once to use some extra oil and another time to top off my truck but both times I used the same grade...

So tell me about your F-150

Dark shadow grey metallic 2004 F-150 FX4 supercab 6.5ft bed, with the 5.4L 3V V8. The truck has 142,XXX miles on it and still runs like a champ. I change the fuel filter annually as it's cheap and easy to do. I also change the transfer case fluid and do a pan drop on the transmission once a...

Post what you used in your first car.

My first car is the 66 Mustang in my signature with a 200 straight six and I've only run 10W-30 Pennzoil conventional in it since I was got it. My F-150 on the other hand has had several different oils from M1, to Motorcraft, to Amsoil but mostly Pennzoil and it will will probably stay Pennzoil...

    F150 vs Tundra

Another vote for the F-150! I'd go with the 5.0 just as a personal preference, but both engines seem to deliver a lot of power and capability with similar gas mileage. My experience has definitely been that Ford builds reliable trucks that are built to work.
