    Alternatives to Hyundai/Kia OEM

I am running an OCOD in the Kia, see signature line. Runs good, no tick.

    40k mile OCI pics

This post is weird. The engine does not look horrible. It definitely does not look excellent either. I just dropped the pan to change the oil pan gasket on my 122K Dodge Grand Caravan in sig. The bottom end looked significantly better than yours. No sludge at all on any parts or the pan, light...

    Apparently, I'm a hoarder too

That aint too bad. At any given time I have an oil filter or two for every vehicle/OPE, one or two OCI in oil, 5 or 6 quarts of top off oil (random brands, same grade I run in my van), a few gallons of mixed HDEO I run in my OPE, a few quarts of ATF, and a few randoms. Ex- I topped off my...

    Larger tire size ?

It wont make much difference. You are only going 20mm wider. I run a three inch taller than stock tire on my F250 and barely notice the difference.

here's the thing on tears. Are they a good thing? No. Are they catastrophic? No. Have numerous unknown tears undoubtedly happened to many of us over the years. Yes, so I don't worry about it.

I typically use them on my fords, and sometimes I use the FL400s on my ph3614/3600 applications. Love em.

    2005 Yukon XL

Since this thing never seems to die....I will tell you I (as a police officer) have written ONE ticket for towing too much (I wrote unsafe operation) when a dude crashed a single cab four cylinder S10 pulling a ford galaxy 500 on a two axle car trailer. I think the S10 was rated at 1000lbs. For...

    2005 Yukon XL

For all the sanctimonious holier than thou individuals who feel the need to dissect towing safety whenever it is discussed. This seems to be a trend. Whenever someone on BITOG mentions towing, someone breaks some stats and advises whatever someone is wanting to tow is VASTLY irresponsible and...

    K&N filter efficiency

I have posted this I don't know how may times, and nobody ever acknowledges it. I did UOA with K&N panel filter in my old 2005 Dodge. Silicon lower than average. If you keep your factory airbox and don't run an exposed cone filter, the air slows down a bit and many particles drop out of...
