America and Canada are very vulnerable to increases in oil prices due to many large vehicles and long travel distances. I would like to see gas prices at 10 to 15 $/gal or higher. It is going to take these kind of price increases to make people change their behaviour.

It is a fact that the use of antiseize can greatly increase the force on the threads at a given torque. This high force can damage threads or make the plug very difficult to remove. This is why manufacturers don't recommend it's use. If you insist on using it then I recommend that you...

Prius V Excellent fuel economy, 44/40/42 city/hwy/combined. Significantly more cargo space than the Camry.

Well ... we JUST bought a Prius.. :-)

OP - if you do "by the book" frequent oil changes I recommend sticking to a brand name (pennzoil, valvoline, castrol, etc.) 5W30 SN dino. If you are willing to go outside of the owners manual you will see a slight fuel economy improvement by going to a 5W20 dino. There are charts on this...

For latex a nail will rust which discolours the caulking. I prefer to use a long plated screw or galvanized nail.

Keep looking, in that age and price range the price should be very negotiable. You may want to pick a little higher priced vehicle and then offer what you can afford to spend. As you probably know - buying a 4x4 truck that old is a potential minefield of problems. You might want to think...
