Other than the 5W-30 having better NOACK (~8.6% vs 9.2% for the 0W-30), what benefits does it have?

The VOA shows P at ~790ppm and Zn at ~850. How come both are lower in the UOA?

I wonder if it has something to do with leftover oil. At least in my vehicle, even after 2 OCIs, there are still trace amounts of oil left when switching brands/formulations. So the 3rd and 4th OCI should be almost completely V R&P runs.

The Grand Highlander Hybrid now also recommends 0W-8, whereas the Highlander Hybrid with the same engine recommends 0W-16. My guess is that they will update the manual for the Highlander Hybrid when they refresh it to also call for 0W-8.

The ESP seems to have held its viscosity well, but they didn't run a GC test to get fuel dilution. My plan is to finish 4 OCI's with R&P (the wear metals look quite good), then try for an "extended" (i.e. ~5k mi for this engine) OCI with HPL 5W-30/5W-40 mix (I have 1 OCI worth of oil left)...

Why would it be harmful to use 93 octane if the engine does not require it?

Does that mean you plan to drain the oil as soon as you get back from the dealer?

Do you have any citations? Which engines in specific? Just asking to get more information, not to argue.
