Car follows grooves in the highway

Thanks guys. I'll return to the factory-recommended pressure of 30psi and see if that helps.

Car follows grooves in the highway

I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu LTZ 4cyl with 225/50-18 Goodyear LS2 tires. The problem that I have is that the car loves to follow grooves in the road while traveling at speed (on the freeway, etc). I know that a lot of cars do this to some degree, but it is much more pronounced on this car than...

My Car Is Getting A New Roof :(

Happy Friday everyone! Since this was my post, I thought that I'd provide an update in case anyone else ever goes through this and has similiar questions. I got my car back from Hamblins Body, Paint, and Frameshop exactly two weeks ago today. As you could tell from my OP, I was VERY nervous...

My Car Is Getting A New Roof :(

I've been researching this a little more online, and it looks like the roof skin is "serviceable". It doesn't look like removal of the skin will involve disturbing the structural integrity of the car. The body shop said that all of the reinforcements under the skin are undamaged and will not be...

My Car Is Getting A New Roof :(

Oh man, now you guys really have me worried. I know that if it comes back and it's not perfect then I will hate the car. And my wife would kill me if I trade another car. Now I'm thinking to call the body shop on Thursday and tell them to forget about replacement and just repair it even of it's...

My Car Is Getting A New Roof :(

I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu LTZ with about 15k miles. Due to the indiscretion of an un-named teenage kid, my car is now getting a new roof. The kid decided that it would be fun to jump on top of my car and slide across the roof...several times. It left several dents and impressions on the hood...

    2012 Chevy Malibu (rental) review

Thanks for the review. I own a 2011 Malibu LTZ 2.4L. Originally Posted By: d00df00d Fair disclosure: This car isn't remotely the kind of thing I would buy. It's very, very obviously designed for people who treat cars as nothing more than transportation appliances. That's... not me. While I...

Getting that nice solid car door "thud"

Funny, I thought that I was the only one that paid attention to stuff like this. About a month age I noticed the same thing in my 2011 Chevy Malibu, and did just like GMBoy outlined. Loosened the striker a little, took a mallet and ever so slightly slightly moved it inboard. Fixed it!

Any one use Hiflo oil filters?

I've been using them for my past 3 oil & filter changes (along with Schaeffer oil). Seems to work well, but I suppose I wouldn't know otherwise unless my engine failed. But I agree with the others; they "appear" to be well-made filters. And they cost about 65% of what HD wants for theirs.

Redline Car vs Motorcycle Oil ???

Does anyone know if there is a noticeable different in Redline's car and mc-specific oil? Does anyone use their 20w50 car oil? This would be for use in a HD Big Twin sump (not shared).

    Who here rides a Harley?

I own and ride (daily) a 2009 Road King Classic. I own it, not because of what it sybolizes or because of it's heritage/tradition, but because I think it looks, sounds, and feels great. I'm not at all into the Harly lifestyle. I have no other friends that ride Harley's (or any other bikes, for...

    New motor... Need break-in recommendations

Thanks for the suggestions... I think I'll probably run it for 1000-2000 miles, and then do the 1st OCI. I'll probably stick with MC 5w20 and filter.

    New motor... Need break-in recommendations

2005 F150, 5.4 3v, 52,000 miles. Long story short, my Ford Extended Service Plan just paid $8100 to have a Ford reman longblock put in my truck. Supposedly there was some manufacturing debris found in the chain tensioners which caused head failure... You can read all about it HERE (and the...
