Just bought this as a tow vehicle for some fishing and hunting. It is not 4 wheel drive. What type & weight oil would you folks recommend for this. It has 105,000 miles with no oil usage.

We've got about 3-4 inches here in Upstate South Carolina. 1st white Christmas since 1963. Started yesterday about 3 o'clock and still coming down. Very pretty, fluffy snow. Roads seem to be O.K. My 3 and 1/2 year old niece was amazed at the snow falling on her face. It's the 1st snow she has...

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger 3.0L V6. I noticed today that when I tried to defrost my windshield this morning that nothing happened. Usually I've got a clear windshield in a few minutes. Didn't think anything about it til I turned the truck off and heard a little squeal. So then I tried to turn on...
I'd like a smaller vacuum to use just for cleaning the cars and trucks. AutoZone has an Armour All 120 Volt vacuum on sale for 34.99. Any ideas? Her it is in the AutoZone ad.

The LH interior door handle broke on my wife's Tribute. Seems to be a common problem with Tributes & Escapes. Dorman makes an aftermarket direct fit OE Solution part for $45 from RockAuto. Online Mazda Parts has an OEM part for $75 + shipping. I've heard that the OEM may fail because of design...

I use Motorcraft filters from WM @ $3.67 on both my truck and my wife's Tribute. I used Purolator filters and had some startup noise but changed to Motorcraft and all is quiet now. Good filter for the price. No problems going 5k miles on OCI.
I installed a Drive Works air filter on the wife's Tribute over 600 miles ago. No problems so far. The item numbers are the same as the Purolators except for the prefix letters.
, so I'm assuming that they are Purolator specs manufactured by a sub-contractor.
I have this same pan. However, I've made some adjustments to it. I took a jig saw and cut a large hole that left about 3 inches from the side. Oil drains into it really well and the lip around the perimeter keeps oil from coming out of the pan.
Changed the belt and tensioner assembly on my wife's Tribute. I used a Dayco tensioner and Dayco Poly W belt. The original assembly didn't squeak BUT had some play in it that the Dayco video indicated the need to replace. Very easy install. Question is, how good is the Dayco tensioner assembly...
My truck has leather seats and I've got a small tear/crack on the surface right under where my thigh would be. What would you all suggest for a tempoirary repair until I get it fixed at an upholstery shop? They cannot get it in for another 2 weeks or so. Permatex makes a leather repair kit I've...
