Which AZ was this in JAX? I'll be down there on Saturday and may pick up a bit since my local AZ has some nice Coastal Type F in the GC tray.

51394 is the filter specified for my Nissan application. I have tried this filter on two separate occassions and have had valvetrain ticking both times. Swapping out the filter with an OEM 52J00 Nissan quiets the motor down. While the filter may be very well constructed, it definitely does not...

My wife's 2003 4.0 Explorer with the 3.73LS has 75W-90 stamped or cast into the diff cover. The owner's manual stated 75W-140. The owner's manual also listed the wrong fuel filter. I decided I'd take the diff's word for it rather than the the manual that I'd previously found errors in.

I see you're in Everett. I got my 7620XE from the Napa downtown next day last July. I still haven't used it yet I just wanted to see if it was a rebadged Stratapore.

If you're really feeling froggy go down the the local Napa and order a 7620XE. I am *pretty sure* that it is a rebadged Fleetguard Stratapore LF16035. It will probably cost about $17 but Napa usually always can get parts the next day. PS verify those numbers in case I goofed.

After 50k miles of M1 5W-30 in my wife's 4.0 Explorer (with negligible oil consumption over a 5k OCI), I decided to try GC after the Group III debacle. After 1500 miles, it seems to be happy. Negligible oil consumption. Gas mileage is up about 0.8 mpg, but I changed out the nasty factory fill...

If it were easy to get to there'd be some other eff'ing problem to contend with, e.g. the fill plug on my wife's explorer rear diff torqued to about 80000 ft-lbs. At least I tried to remove it before the drain plug...

The Cummins Filtration website doesn't say the LF3604 is not Stratapore...but it doesn't say that it is either. When I looked up known Stratapore (LF16035) they definitely mentioned Stratapore...several times.

The Fleetguard Stratapore (LF16035) uses a full-synthetic media and may be a good canditate to go one year/10k miles. The Wix 5760XE "appears" to be the same filter made by Cummins Filtration. I don't know if the media is Stratapore or the lower-grade Cellulose(?). A certain site sponsor is a...
