The LEDS will help.

Most backup cameras need light to work, and even some OEM backup cameras are worthless for backing up a vehicle. There is only so much that narrow view from the trunk can tell you. Nothing beats turning your head around.

I assume the car doesn't have a backup camera? Why not install that instead? I installed following on 2006 Sentra, best $30 investment.

My brother has LEDs in the reverse lights on his Tahoe. I was standing behind the truck the other night when he remote started it and unlocked the doors and I couldn't believe how much light they gave off. Absolutely enough to back up by. My Suburban still has the stock bulbs and I see well enough with them but if they ever need to be replaced I'm going LED.

I have the XP50, looks like the XP80 is the brightest for your application. Pricey at $90, but I love the reverse bulbs in my truck.

I live in the country and have a driveway a little over 200’. I’m able to turn around which makes it a non issue. If it was an issue, I would install wired low voltage lights. Toro still make them?

$90 USD is a stupidly high price for 2 back up bulbs, sorry...
