Looking for decent noack/lower saps for VW TSI

I've been using Total Quartz INEO MC3 5w30 since around 15k miles. It's, imo, the best oil stats wise. It ticks all the boxes for me and is OE approved (502/505.01). It's not terribly pricey (on amazon), great noack, low-saps, and great TBN for 10k mile oci's. On 10k oci's I still have oil life left. Last UOA, blackstone recommended I try 12k miles. I'm at just under 60k miles and I still get the same gas mileage as the day the car was new and she runs smooth as butter. I also run this oil in my wife's mk7 golf 1.8t.

Why the obsession with ash for inlet deposits. For a while we had a member from Castrol posting here. He said VM type had far more impact on this issue than ash concentration and that high ash oils could perform better than low saps depending on VM.

Is VM an acronym for Volatile Matter ?

Valvoline 5w40 MST. I look for it when on sale for $6/qt at Napa, but AZ stocks it as well. It is mid-SAPS and the NOACK must be decent as I only need to add 1/3 of a quart per 5K miles in my TSI.

No idea. Could not find that info anywhere. I used Valvoline 5W40 MST because Valovilne is very transparent with info on their oils.
Castrol is getting better, Mobil1 is so so.
