Where to get alternator kits from?

I'm going to re-build an alternator for our Aviator (current is a cheap re-build that cause hideous whine over the radio) and want to know who has a kit worth buying? I'd like top shelf parts but hate experimenting to get it right.

Have you talked to any rebuild shops? I had a good shop that would sell me what I would need. They retied and sold the shop

In case anyone is wondering, yes I have bought from the companies I linked to no just googled it. The stuff is okay.

There is more to rebuilding than slapping in new parts. The armature may need to be turned on a lathe.

Usually it's just brushes or diodes, and sometimes regulators, and anyone can fix that. Otherwise if it needs something more then buy a new one.
