Slightly overtightening new belts due to stretch

I'm going to DIY the alt & PS belts in my Infiniti. 1/4'' deflection is good for used belts since it keeps away chirps year round. The PS belt is a bit of a pain to change so I'd like tension everything once and avoid going back in for readjustments. That's why I'm thinking of going with 1/8'' on these new belts to account for the inevitable stretching in the first few hundred miles. Is this too tight?

You will never believe how fast your accessories will jump ship under that practice.

Adjust your belts later, or adjust them later when you are finished with your accessory replacements.

Yep! It'll be a LOT easier to tighten the belt in 20000 miles than to replace accessories....then retighten the belt....

Not always. The deflection listed in my service manual varies for a new versus old belt.
