Having trouble with the CDMA workshop, etc part. I need a "donor phone?"

You obviously aren't following what I posted earlier.

Did you see this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176719

??

Might as well try it. Note that it says you do NOT need to root the phone to do it.

^^ This is for GSM; For Sprint, it is ##DIAG#

And from there, it gets into CDMA stuff.. to get it to Boost is where I get lost at.

And are you saying I should have CyanogenMod on there now, or is my present rooted CWM ok?

I still can't make calls or text on mine. Wifi internet works, test calls fail..

What part am I missing?

And yes, the ##DIAG# menu differs from GSM...

I thought you were trying to unlock it now, not flash it? You already flashed it and rooted it.... But that doesn't solve your carrier issue.

I am basically at the point of how to get it onto another carrier, yes. It turns on, works on Wifi..

and I met up with the lady I bought it from, her kids sold it to me with a "lock" on it is why I couldnt use it. Some face-recognition thing! Oh well, that is off of it now...

Yeah, original carrier was Sprint, I need to get it onto probably Boost Mobile! I am at the "carrier issue."

I've used them in the past for codes. They are inexpensive.

I don't see SPH-L710 listed! Only GSM models!

No, but 710 shows up in the list. Try that and see where it gets you

I got this e-mail from them when I messaged them:

Quote:
Hi,

Unfortunately we are unable to unlock Samsung devices from Sprint

Please contact your service provider for further assistance

Sorry for the inconvenience

Well, you could always try contacting the woman you bought it from and asking her to contact Sprint for the unlock code
