Does it make an appreciable difference what particular oil i use with the first application of auto-rx? In other words, is there a best oil (dyno or synthetic) to use for an auto-rx application or will just about any brand/type yield similar results in terms of engine cleaning and valve sealing?

Frank told me to use regular oil during the treatment. I going with Pennzoil 10W30 for my two treatments and using OEM filters.

frank said to me as well that any dino oil is ok. i used supertech and any other cheap oil i can find..its not going to be in there that long...thats how i think of it. i doubt that a differnt oil will yeild the ability of auto rx. it will work the same in my mind...enough from me, just my personal experiance here...im not no expert =)

Auto-rx works faster in conventional oil, to be specific, you want an oil without esters in it. So don't use it with the high mileage oils (Maxlife, Pennzoil HM, GTX HM, etc)
