Does anyone not change T-belt?

1987 Toyota Corolla FX (Dad's car) Don't remember the mileage or even when it was. But it let go on him during Friday evening rushour at a very busy intersection. Stepmom had to go rescue him.

Had mine done on my Caravan this week. $381 total (including a new water pump, which is T-belt driven on my minivan)

Except for the old Ford OHC 2.3, I never buy a car with a cam belt, period... Those old 2.3 were non interference and I could change it beside the road if necessary(and did on one occasion)...
