Well, thanks for all the kind words. Sorry for the lack of replies, but I had computer problems that were just fixed...also, it's cruising time, so less computer time. Here are a couple of pics from a recent club cruise and show to prove it
The Camera is a top-end Kodak and I'm very happy with it.
The engine started life as a 1995 Passat 1.9 IDI (never imported into the USA...only available in Canada from 1993 to 1997). It got Bored out and new pistons with ARP studs throughout. It got a new head ported and polished, and a larger turbo (Garrett T3). It got a performance pump and injectors from Performance Diesel Injection (this was a masterpiece), a 2.5" downpipe and custom Magnaflow exhaust and an ACT performance clutch assembly. It presently makes about 145 horses and a tad over 220 ft lbs of torque....more than enough for an 800 kg truck.
