Anybody have experience with the Steyr Scout Rifle

It is a rifle looking for a reason? It is not good for varmint hunting,tactical shooting,target shooting etc.... It is ok as a hunting rifle but you can get a hunting rifle for a lot less money then they want for it. The barrle is pres fit so if you should want to rebarrle it the options are far less then for more traditional designs.No real experince with it but I have to wounder what it does better then many other rifles?

What are you going to use it for?
 
I probably won't use it for anything, probably won't buy one, just saw a few references to it and was curious.
As far as I'm concerned, for bolt-action rifles, Remington 700 in .308 or 30.06 is hard to beat.

yes it is, tried and true for decades.

Steyr SBS (Safe Bolt System) with 70 degree bolt lift.
