I picked up some Zymol Japon wax this weekend. Wow the stuff was $42.00. I was told that Japeneese cars have very thin paint/clearcoats, and that this wax is designed for it. I am not a fan for PD's or polymers.

I don't mean to bust your chops but there's a saying on some boards about Zymol.
"It lasts as long as it takes to put on"
Great for a show car but not a daily driver.

zmeli,

I have wanted to try some Zymol Carbon on my black '02 Accord but am still using up my Meguiar's #20. Let us know how you like it. Yep, they are pretty proud of that stuff.

I will give it a try, and let you all know if it last. I know that the zymol cleaner/wax that they sell at Walmart only has a small percentage of Carnauba wax like 4%. The Japon wax has 37% so I think it should last longer. The car is garaged and I would rather the paint last longer than the wax.

The Zymol Japon is a good wax, however I would also recommend Pinnacle Souveran Wax. This wax is a bit pricey, but produces some excellent results as well as exceptable durability. It is a pain to apply and takes a least 12 hours to set up. You will notice a real difference with appearance if you have a black or red car. Still looking for a good polish though. Any suggestions?

3M Imperial Hand Glaze or Meguiar's Show Glaze #7; i've heard great things about either polishes. I myself use the IHG right now with great results.

As for wax, I've heard great things about P21S/S100 (which are one and the same; ones just sold exclusively at motorcycle/harley shops) and Blitz One Grand. But for right now, I am using meguiars #26, i will pick up some S100 or blitz to try out soon.

Pinnacle Paint Cleanse or P21S paint cleaner are good prewax polishes.
I prefer Zaino,Klasse or Liquid Glass polymer protection and shine but Pinnacle Souveran($60) and the cost less S100($16),P21S($25) are excellent choices over Zymol if you prefer a carnauba wax.

I use Zymol 13 dollar a bottle wax and works EXCELLENT on both my Black 96 Accord and Silver 01 CRV. My black is almost a mirror and silver is very nice.

I applied one coat the Zymol Japan this weekend. It smells very yummy and a small amount goes a long way. It is very hard to remove even if you wait until it barely dries. This wax takes time to apply and remove.

I noticed the $13 Walmart bottles were being clearenced for $11. Guess Wallmart will not be selling their cleaner wax anymore.
