Yikes!! What people will pay for a short lived track bike that could not get out of its own way let alone win races with top level riders on board. This is similar to someone who pays high dollar for a BSA Victor 441!

As a former 1996 VFR750F owner I always liked the RC30 and RC45's.

I'm still keeping my eyes open for a more attainable RC51.

Negative... Honda's RC45 were built to win and win it most certainly did
earning a total of 35 titles . The RC45 was the most sophisticated
version of Honda's V4 Superbike platform and represented
the closest incarnation of Honda's 4 stroke Gp racing technology ever
offered to the public...

4 Isle of Man TT F1 titles...

4 Isle of Man Senior titles...

3 World Endurance Championships...

5 Suzuka 8 Hour wins...

2 AMA Superbike Championship...

2 Daytona 200 wins...

1 World Superbike Championship...

2 Australian Superbike Championships...

1 Macau Grand Prix...

3 Ulster Grand Prix

1 24 Hours of Lemans

5 NorthWest 200

those were all won by heavily kitted & tuned 190hp track bikes. This one is 119hp / 161mph on a windy day.
A Yamaha r6 from 15 years ago would get around it.
Not that it will ever see road or track.

Back in the Day one of my friends had a BSA 441 Victor I wouldn't take it if it was given to me

Well that hurts…
Yeah, the truth does hurt, especially the first time it is told! Although I've been reading that for years, that an older 600cc super sport would run circles around it on the track.

Still doesn't change the uniqueness of it, and that is apparently worth a lot to some.

You could never get around the rules to race a RC45 in the 600 class... it was called cheating...
Just meant if this 0 mile street-legal stock machine were to meet an r6 on the street.
Of course all the '15 year old r6s' are crashed out long ago....... lol.

I get that for sure. I have few 70s Yamaha that would be destroyed by a new R3, but I don’t care.

Interesting for sure. I had no idea. I still think it's an overpriced bike for what it is.

Mr. Honda's exotic race bred V4s were always judged overpriced but due to appreciation you more than likely get your investment back...
