Zerex G05 for Range Rover?

L405 Range Rover (3.0 V6 Supercharged)?

I believe Dex Cool is OEM but wanted to see if G05 would work.

You should be able flush and then use Zerex G-05 in most vehicles.

I see that Dex Cool is LR approved

Valvoline recommends G30 for this vehicle

They are both OAT coolants , free of any IAT inhibitors, I believe G30 does not contain 2-Eha, Dexcool sure does.

You could use G30, or G40, the only difference is G40 contains Silicates unlike G30, either would work fine.

OP, with a drain and flush, your vehicle can use Dex Cool, G05, G30, G40 and probably others like G48 too. I don't think there is a "better" coolant, all work if you change them at the regular and reasonable intervals.

Most modern cars can run most coolants with a drain and flush first. It's mixing that is the issue. Topping up with a different type of chemistry is the problem. If in doubt, top up with demineralised water.

So just make a choice and then use it. If Dex Cool is OEM, and it's everywhere, then that is a good way to go.

The only reason to not get Dex Cool is because you have a personal garage of many different vehicles and you want to run one single coolant in everything, and you have already settled on a different one. Or all your work is being done at a particular shop and they only use one type of coolant.
